CONTENT
Perfectionism is our favorite bad habit. There is nothing wrong with wanting to do things well or keeping high standards. On the contrary: you often are and have been rewarded for excellent results. This is however a risc to your mental health if you tend to keep on striving for excellence, even when you start encountering negative consequences.
The aim of this training is to participate in the prevention of stress and burn-out.
In this short training of only 5 sessions, participants will learn to reflect on their very own kind of perfectionism. They will also learn to understand what keeps them aiming for the same golden standard and what the damaging effects are. Participants learn to challenge themselves in differents behaviour. Part of the training is spent on motivational theory and practice. What good reasons do you have to change?
The training is given in small groups for all staf of the VUB with individual tasks to be carried out between sessions. The training of 5 sessions is a total and every session builds on the previous one, in knowledge and experience. Participants are expected to engage in the whole training.
