Groepstraining - CIRCLE OF SECURITY® PARENTING™

Circle of Safety Parenting Training.

As parents, we do our best to make our children happy and keep them that way. However, sometimes we feel a little lost or don't quite know what to do in a given situation. Circle of Security® Parenting™ Training ensures that all this information is clearly articulated and depicted. In this way, it ensures that we get the support we need to discover how to have a better relationship with our children.

Circle of Safety Parenting Training is an educational program for parents who have children between the ages of 0 and 6, and was developed by Kent Hoffman, Glen Cooper and Bert Powell, three internationally renowned psychologists. The program proposes a parent-child relationship-focused approach, one that opens the way to manifesting our innate sensitivity to seeing and responding to children's emotional needs.

The parent group will function as a safe space in which they will be encouraged to reflect on their own experiences as parents and to understand the needs behind the children's behavior. In the 8 group sessions, we will watch videos of interactions between children and their parents in which we will be trained to detect the subtle signals that both children and parents communicate through their behavior. Through various empathic reflection exercises, parents will learn about their possible vulnerabilities in relation to their own children. This new way of looking at things can be used as a "map" that guides them in understanding their children's needs as well as their own.
